Inmate Text App

Inmate texting apps are the best method to stay in contact with a family member or friend who is currently behind bars. These apps are designed to be in compliance with prison rules and permit family and friends to send messages, pictures video calls, eCards and money to their trust accounts at prison. In addition to these messaging apps, there are also several federal inmate applications that provide additional services such as video visitation and phone calls.

The JPay application, for instance allows family and friends to easily transfer money into the trust account of an inmate as well as photos, email videos, eCards, and eCards. They can also create personalized text inmate postcards that include personal photos. It's a more secure, more secure alternative to regular mail.

Another popular texting app for prisoners is GettingOut. It allows "simple reliable and efficient communication" between inmates with their loved ones. The app is available at selected correctional facilities that allow inmates to upload pictures and message friends and family via their tablets. It costs inmates $0.25 a message and loved ones pay for the data that is used to read their messages (but not for explicit images). You can also use the GettingOut application to share photos on Facebook or Foursquare and check in on Foursquare and then add a video to a YouTube upload.
